Sudden cardiac arrest remains the leading cause of death in the Western world.
Rapid defibrillation is known to be effective treatment for many victims.
Research has shown that early defibrillation by trained first responders can improve survival.
AED's, or Automated External Defibrillators, are small, lightweight devices that
look at a person's heart rhythm (through special pads placed on the torso) and can
recognize ventricular fibrillation (VF), also known as "sudden cardiac arrest" or SCA.
AED's are available for home and office. If you are at risk and qualify, your
insurance may cover an AED for your safety. Every business should have an AED
available to assist incase an employee or patron has a "sudden cardiac arrest."
