June is National Safety Month
“Safety where we live, work and play. Every hour, every day, everywhere we go.”
This month QAS is promoting National Safety Month by setting high standards for safety in the workplace, home and leisure locations. In doing this we can improve the overall well being of employees, families and their communities. We support on and off the job safety and health to reduce the numbers of preventable deaths and severe injuries.
This year’s theme reflects prevention and awareness in the workplace, home, community, our roads and highways. In cooperation with this objective, we are offering special pricing on our related products to provide you with the tools to assist you in achieving this high standard of safety.
Sudden cardiac arrest remains the leading cause of death in the Western world. Rapid defibrillation is known to be effective treatment for many victims. Research has shown that early defibrillation by trained first responders can improve survival.
AED's, or Automated External Defibrillators, are small, lightweight devices that look at a person's heart rhythm (through special pads placed on the torso) and can recognize ventricular fibrillation (VF), also known as "sudden cardiac arrest" or SCA.
AED's are available for home, car, office and any assembly location. If you are at risk and qualify, your insurance may cover an AED for your safety. Every business should have an AED available to assist incase an employee or patron has a "sudden cardiac arrest."
